The brush is oval-shaped with a beaded border; although pretty, and with long soft bristles for baby's fine hair, it's hard for an adult to manipulate because the handle--at 3 inches--is so short and narrow. The comb is the real disappointment: there's just no hiding the fact that it's really a white plastic comb with a piece of sterling tacked on along the spine.
